[ Noakhali Online Group ] Observing Holy Eid in a same day around the world

Dear all,

Observing Holy Eid in a same day around the world is not correct. Our Prophet(S) said, "You do observe Eid seeing the moon". According to the Holy Al-Hadis we should observe Eid seeing the moon, but not hearing the news of appearing the new moon. It should be noted that it is not mandatory to see the new moon by all the people in a geographical area. For example in Bangladesh if a few people see the moon and if this news is spread over whole the country , then all Bangladeshis must observe the holy Eid in a same day. It is very easy to spread over the news of appearing moon from one zone to another zone in Bangladesh. But it is not very easy to reach the news of appearing moon from Saudi Arabia to Bangladesh without the satellite system.

In our country some people celebrate Eid following Saudi Arabia. This is not correct. Their argument is that they can receive the news of appearing the moon in Saudi Arabia in a moment through the electronic media. So they observe the Eid following Saudi Arabia. Electronic Media is run by the satellite system. So due to any reason if whole the satellite system of the world  become out of  order during the time of appearing moon and continue for several days (let this is 3 days), then what would be happened ?  Is this group of people will observe the Eid 3 days after of the day of Saudi Arabia? Because, this group of people will hear the news of the new moon after returning back of the satellite system's previous good condition. Isn't it?

Arabic date, month and year are gone by the moon's movement and Arabic daily time is run by the sun's movement. According the sun's movement every country/zone's has different time zone. We pray our Salat / Namaz according to the sun time. Can all the Muslims pray their Salat in a time around the world? Like this the moon appears in different countries in different times and in different days. So naturally the Muslims of different countries will observe the Eid in different days. It is clear and transparent. That group of people observes Eid in a same day as like as in Saudi Arabia, but do they can pray Eid Salat in a same time as like as in Saudi Arabia?

Long ago (let 500 hundred years ago) there was neither satellite system nor airplane. Then it took many days to reach our country from Saudi Arabia. In that time how did the people of our country hear the news of appearing the new moon in Saudi Arabia? Certainly in that time the people of our country did not wait to hear the news of appearing the moon in Saudi Arabia to observe the holy Eid in our country.  Islam is an ancient as well as modern religion for ever. There is no scope to reform or change any Islamic law in course of time.  So we should convince the people who observe the holy Eid in our country following Saudi Arabia. May Allah give us actual understanding about Islamic Laws. Thanks to all.  Allah Hafez.
