[ Noakhali Online Group ] Swaine Flue Information (H1N1 Virus)

Now Swaine Flue is spreading all over Bangladesh at very alarming
rate. Every day almost 20-25 people are being detected as H1N1 virus
positive in Dhaka . Still many people are suffering from fever and
they don't even know if they are positive or not.

The Institute of Epidemiology Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) on
Monday confirmed death of Mitali Chakraborty (35) of Savar, who was
undergoing treatment at private Lab Aid Hospital in the city after
being tested positive for the virus on August 27.
According to the institute, the number of swine flu cases rose to 213
since the first case was reported on June 18 this year with 14 more
people tested positive for H1N1 virus on Monday

An old American Muslim lived on a farm in the mountains of eastern Kentucky with his young grandson. Each morning Grandpa wakeup early sitting at the kitchen table reading his Qur'an. His grandson wanted to be just like him and tried to imitate him in every way he could. One day the grandson asked,

"Grandpa! I try to read the Qur'an just like you but I don't understand it, and what I do understand I forget as soon as I close the book. What good does reading the Qur'an do?" The Grandfather quietly turned from putting coal in the stove and replied, "Take this coal basket down to the river and bring me back a basket of water."
The boy did as he was told, but all the water leaked out before he got back to the house. The grandfather laughed and said, "You'll have to move a little faster next time," and sent him back to the river with the basket to try again. This time the boy ran faster, but again the basket was empty before he returned home. Out of breath, he told his grandfather that it was impossible to carry water in a basket, and he went to get a bucket instead. The old man said, "I don't want a bucket of water; I want a basket of water. You're just not trying hard enough," and he went out the door to watch the boy try again. At this point, the boy knew it was impossible, but he wanted to show his grandfather that even if he ran as fast as he could, the water would Leak out before he got back to the house. The boy again dipped the basket into river and ran hard, but when he reached his grandfather the basket was again empty. Out of breathe, he said, "See
Grandpa, it's useless!" "So you think it is useless?"
The old man said, "Look at the basket." The boy looked at the basket and for the first time realized that the basket was different. It had been transformed from a dirty old coal basket and was now clean, inside and out. "Son, that's what happens when you read the Qur'an. You might not understand or remember everything, but when you read it, you will be changed, inside and out. That is the work of Allah in our lives."

Ramadhan - Lessons From The Son

One day a father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the country with the firm purpose of showing his son how poor people can be.

They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family.

On their return from their trip, the father asked his son, "How was the trip?" "It was great, Dad." "Did you see how poor people can be?" the father asked. "Oh Yeah" said the son.

"So what did you learn from the trip?" asked the father.

The son answered, "I saw that we have one dog and they had four.

We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden and they have a creek that has no end.

We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have the stars at night.

Our patio reaches to the front yard and they have the whole horizon.

We have a small piece of land to live on and they have fields that go beyond our sight.

We have servants who serve us, but they serve others.

We buy our food, but they grow theirs.

We have walls around our property to protect us, they have friends to protect them. "

With this the boy's father was speechless.

Then his son added, "Thanks dad for showing me how ungrateful we truly are"

You can't buy any of these things. You can have all the material possessions you can imagine, provisions for the future, etc., but if you are poor of spirit, you have nothing!
Too many times we forget what we have and concentrate on what we don't have.

The Prophet said;
Richness does not lie in the abundance of (worldly) goods but richness is the richness of the soul (heart, self).
[Sahih al-Bukhari, Muslim 5:2287]

Also;
If one is satisfied with small provision from Allah, Allah will be satisfied with a few good deeds from him
